Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Blaine, MN location. You will assist with day-to-day activities, merchandise handling, payroll tasks, and loss prevention while leading and developing Store Associates.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, with a focus on providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean: bathrooms, floors, trash, and neatness throughout the store.
• Other duties as assigned.
