Job summary

Shoe Carnival, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations and support the team. This full-time role includes responsibilities as a key holder, leading by example, and driving a fun, customer-first store environment.

You willOpen and close the store, support the General Manager in achieving sales goals, and supervise and train associates to meet standard processes. The position offers hands-on leadership opportunities and growth within a team-focused setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail or customer service experience
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus
• Must complete Key Carrier Certification within 60 days
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as a key holder
• Support the General Manager in reaching sales goals
• Lead customer service efforts and resolve issues professionally
• Train and guide associates on processes and standards
• Delegate daily tasks and coordinate breaks
• Assist with visual merchandising and store presentation
• Perform register overrides, safe/till counts, and cash reconciliation
• Follow and promote loss prevention procedures
