Job summary

Shoe Carnival is seeking a dependable Assistant Store Manager in a full-time, onsite role. You will help oversee daily store operations, lead by example, and foster a customer-first environment while acting as a key holder.

The position requires strong leadership, 2+ years in retail or customer service, and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays. Training in loss prevention and merchandising is provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail or customer service experience required.
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
• Must obtain Key Carrier Certification within 60 days.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as a key holder.
• Support the General Manager in reaching sales goals.
• Lead customer service efforts and resolve issues professionally.
• Train and guide associates on processes and standards.
• Delegate daily tasks and coordinate breaks.
• Assist with visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Perform register overrides, cash reconciliation, and till counts.
• Follow and promote loss prevention procedures.
