Job summary

Shoe Carnival is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, act as a key holder, and support the team in delivering a customer-first experience. The role is full-time with a compensation of $16.15/hour and opportunities for daily pay.

You will open/close the store, drive sales, train associates, manage cash, and ensure loss prevention procedures are followed. Previous supervisory experience is a plus and 18+ years old candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail or customer service experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to complete Key Carrier Certification within 60 days.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as a key holder.
• Support the General Manager in reaching sales goals.
• Lead customer service efforts and resolve issues professionally.
• Train and guide associates on processes and standards.
• Delegate daily tasks and coordinate breaks.
• Assist with visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Perform register overrides, safe/till counts, and cash reconciliation.
• Follow and promote loss prevention procedures.
