Job summary

Shoe Carnival, Inc. in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, act as a key holder, and support the General Manager in achieving sales goals.

In this full-time role, you will lead by example, train associates, manage customer service, assist with visual presentation, and uphold loss prevention procedures while fostering a fun, customer-first atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• At least 2 years of retail or customer service experience.
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain Key Carrier Certification within 60 days.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old due to keyholder responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as a key holder.
• Support the General Manager in reaching sales goals.
• Lead customer service efforts and resolve issues professionally.
• Train and guide associates on processes and standards.
• Delegate daily tasks and coordinate breaks.
• Assist with visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Perform register overrides, safe/till counts, and cash reconciliation.
• Follow and promote loss prevention procedures.
