Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Gainesville, VA is seeking a Team Leader to guide department associates in merchandising, stock, pricing and customer service. You will train staff, schedule shifts, coach teams, and ensure a high quality, friendly shopping experience.

The role requires 2–4 years retail sales experience and supervisory exposure, with a high school diploma or equivalent. Starting pay rate is $18.00 - $20.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 2 to 4 years in Retail Sales
• Supervisory experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Supports the GSM / DM in achievement of Departmental Sales, Gross Margin, Inventory Shrinkage and Payroll Goals.
• Provides daily direction to the associates within the department.
• Prepares to-do / Task lists.
• Executes merchandising directives and maintains plan-o-grams as set by CorporateOffice.
• Assists in staffing, interviewing, training and scheduling; coaches and motivates associates.
• Resolves customer and associate opportunities with GSM / DM and HR Manager.
• Maintains a high level of personal Customer Service; achieves better than Company average customer service results.
• Remains Product expert through ongoing product knowledge training; conducts product demos to staff.
• Assists with coordination of Special Events; pricing and UPC integrity; assortment accuracy; display signaling and pricing of advertised items.
