Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and help ensure the sales floor and stockroom stay organized.

Key duties include opening and closing procedures, merchandising, processing deliveries, and helping train and supervise store associates while maintaining a safe, friendly environment for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in merchandising, transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Train and develop Store Associates and supervise the team.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and ensure policy compliance.
• Ensure safety guidelines and professional interactions with customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
