Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Shawnee, KS to assist with store operations, customer service and team development. You will support opening and closing procedures, merchandise transfers, and loss prevention while maintaining a clean, safe and inviting store environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, store management experience in retail or similar settings, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and maintaining records.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; ensure safety and policy adherence.
