Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Able to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Open and close procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain storefront displays and promotional materials.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized store areas and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets including cash.
• Follow policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with staff and customers.
• Ensure cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
