Job summary

Variety Wholesalers, Inc. is seeking a Retail Store Systems Lead to oversee end-to-end store technology across all locations.

You will manage POS vendor relationships, ensure PCI compliance, maintain POS depot hardware, and guide system deployments for openings, closings, and special projects. The role emphasizes collaboration with operations and IT to drive reliability and compliance in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience in information systems, business, or related field.
• 3+ years in retail systems or IT operations, including vendor and project management.
• Strong knowledge of POS hardware and software (NCR, Toshiba, or Oracle MICROS).
• Solid PCI compliance and security practices.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and timelines.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and organization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the POS software/hardware vendor.
• Manage vendor SLAs, support escalations, updates, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate system upgrades, feature deployments, and bug fixes with vendor teams.
• Lead technical planning and execution for store openings and closings.
