Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and address root cause issues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions; teaching suggestive selling is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all times.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor team members across the organization including hourly staff and team leaders.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Aufgaben

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Oversee staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and development paths for team members and participate in promotion decisions.
• Handle disciplinary actions and recommendations concerning discharge.
• Manage P&L, sales achievement and shrink within the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and conversations.
• Ensure team training across all job areas and required training is completed.
• Spend most time in-store communicating with customers and team members to deliver exceptional service.
• Promote a safe work environment and maintain reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
