Job summary

Family Dollar in Boardman, Ohio is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well stocked and organized; protect assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies including safety guidelines; supervise/train store associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
