Job summary

Family Dollar in Cleveland, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise flows from delivery to floor while maintaining seasonal displays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal displays.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Execute corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; loss prevention.
• Keep a well-stocked floor and organized stockroom per company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies, safety guidelines, and ensure compliance by staff.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked bathrooms, floors swept/mopped, waste disposed, areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
