Job summary

Alterra seeks a seasonal supervisor for Snowshoe, WV to lead our sales team and deliver outstanding customer service. You will manage POS transactions, assist with inventory, and maintain store standards while supporting a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred experience in sales or hospitality. On-mountain housing is available, plus benefits and employee discounts for wintersport activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months in sales, hospitality, or training of others preferred.
• 1 year in retail operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service through greeting, phone handling, and efficient POS transactions.
• Foster a positive team environment and enforce operational procedures, including opening/closing and daily duties.
• Communicate effectively with written and verbal instructions, resolve conflicts, and share relevant information.
• Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts, merchandise handling, and monitoring shrinkage.
• Support staff with POS transactions, housekeeping, and merchandising.
• Ensure store quality through restocking and proper product merchandising.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures and completing weekly training.
