Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retailer environment. You will assist with daily store functions, organize merchandise flow, and supervise associates to maintain clean, well-stocked, and welcoming spaces for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Customer service, organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and professional interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness and stock areas; handle bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
