Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Highland, MI is seeking a motivated part-time Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

This role requires working 25 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Paid training, ongoing coaching, and opportunities to build retail and customer service skills are provided, with a team-focused, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day.
• High school diploma or currently pursuing an education.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
