Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Iowa City is seeking a part-time Retail Store Processor to sort, price, and stock donated goods and provide friendly donor service. You will help track production numbers and move merchandise to the sales floor while keeping work areas tidy.

Training is provided, including paid procedures and ongoing coaching. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required; previous retail experience is a plus.

Retail Store Processor

Location: Iowa City, Iowa

Pay: $12.00 per hour

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule: 19 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise


• Help track and report production numbers


• Move processed merchandise to sales floor


• Provide friendly, helpful service to donors


• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments


• Maintain clean work and storage spaces


• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock

Training Provided
