Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Dubuque, IA is seeking a part-time Retail Store Processor to help process donated goods, price merchandise, and keep the store organized. You will work 20–28 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, with pay at $15.00 per hour and opportunities for on-the-job coaching and growth.

Responsibilities include assisting with loading/unloading, reporting production numbers, and delivering friendly donor service while maintaining clean spaces and collaborating

Qualifications

• Ability to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day.
• High school diploma or currently pursuing.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise

• Help track and report production numbers

• Move processed merchandise to sales floor

• Provide friendly, helpful service to donors

• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments

• Maintain clean work and storage spaces

• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock

Training Provided
