Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Cedar Falls, IA is seeking a part-time Retail Store Processor to sort, tag, and price donated goods and help meet daily production goals. The role offers $12.00 per hour, 25 hours per week, and flexible scheduling including weekdays and weekends.

You will work with a team to maintain store organization, assist donors, and process shipments with training provided and access to benefits such as paid time off and a retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Must be able to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Able to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Able to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise.
• Help track and report production numbers.
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor.
• Provide friendly, helpful service to donors.
• Receive trucks and assist to load, unload and move product to departments.
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces.

Schedule: 25 hours per week. Flexible scheduling required, Monday - Saturday days, evenings, weekends

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You'll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Provide friendly, helpful service to donors
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
