Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Rockford, IL is seeking a Retail Store Processor to sort, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise, keep the store organized, and help meet daily production goals.

This part-time position offers paid time off prorated by hours, access to benefits, and opportunities to build retail and customer service skills while working evenings and weekends as scheduled.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Provide friendly, helpful service to donors
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
