Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division in Des Moines, IA is seeking a motivated Retail Store Processor to handle donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet daily production goals. This part-time role offers flexibility with 25 hours per week and scheduling across days, evenings, and weekends.

You’ll sort, tag, and price merchandise, assist donors, and support store operations. Paid training and ongoing coaching are provided to help build retail and customer service

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Provide friendly, helpful service to donors
• Receive trucks and assist to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock

About The Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
