Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Minnesota to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will supervise store employees, manage merchandise presentation, and support deposits while maximizing profitability and protecting assets.

Responsibilities include leading superior customer service, opening/closing the store, scheduling and training staff, and maintaining accurate inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in retail and supervision is desirable.
• Ability to operate cash register and manage cash responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and safety meetings for employees; enforce policies.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, restocking, and displays according to planograms.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, damages, markdowns, and cash control procedures; assist deposits.
• Support Store Manager in absence and ensure store profitability and asset protection.
