Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with opening and closing procedures, organize merchandise from delivery to sales floor, and ensure displays remain promotional.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to train Store Associates, maintain a clean, safe environment, and protect company assets. Part-time position based at 8630 E 96th Street, Fishers, Indiana 46037-9626.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash
• Other duties as assigned
