Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, customer-first store. You will supervise staff under the Store Manager, assist with merchandise presentation, paperwork, and deposits, and perform stocking and cashiering duties to maximize profitability and reduce losses.

Responsibilities include leading customer service, scheduling, training, maintaining planograms, and ensuring cash controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• One year of retail experience is preferred.
• Six months of supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with staff scheduling and training under Store Manager.
• Stock, unpack, restock, and display merchandise per planograms.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and prevent losses.
• Ensure cash control and deposits; handle refunds and overrides.
• Assist in management in the Store Manager's absence.
