Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Mullins, SC location. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, and help drive sales and compliance with company policies.

You will supervise and train Store Associates, organize merchandise from delivery to floor, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize, transport merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and stockroom.
• Protect company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure bathrooms and store are clean and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
