Job summary

Dollar Tree in Lake City, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist in merchandise organization, open/close procedures, and ensure compliance with company directives while maintaining a safe, friendly store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (preferred).
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Experience in store management in retail, grocery, or drug stores is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays to preserve effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping including payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines and ensure associates follow them.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and stock areas.
