Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Spartanburg, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will assist with daily store functions, train and supervise associates, ensure merchandise is well-presented, and uphold company policies while maintaining a safe, welcoming shopping experience for customers. This role is part-time and store-based, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical store tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support the Store Manager with supervision, training, and development of associates.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and payroll/scheduling records.
• Maintain a neat, safe, and well-stocked store environment.
• Protect company assets, including store cash, and follow all policies.
