Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Alabama team to support store operations, customer service, and staff development. You will assist with daily store functions, help customers, and ensure merchandise is properly organized and stocked.

The role involves opening and closing procedures, maintaining promotional displays, and applying corporate directives. You will train and develop associates while upholding safety policies and delivering friendly, professional service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Experience with payroll, scheduling, and cash handling desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with inquiries and concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain store cleanliness and promotional displays.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of store associates.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety guidelines.
