Job summary

val's services is seeking a hands-on Store Manager to oversee daily operations, staffing, training, inventory, merchandising, and customer service to drive sales and store performance.

You will recruit and train team, conduct performance reviews, manage opening and closing, ensure safety compliance, analyze sales data, maintain stock accuracy, and keep a clean, welcoming shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret documents, perform math calculations, and handle cash procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and safety protocols.
• Experience in recruiting, training, and managing staff, with legal compliance awareness.
• Preferred high school diploma; management experience in retail is advantageous.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred in certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring proper staffing and adherence to policies.
• Conduct performance reviews, address gaps, and manage employee advancement and pay.
• Oversee store opening and closing, maintain safety and security standards, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify business trends, control expenses, and optimize inventory levels.
• Manage merchandise presentation, stocking, and inventory accuracy, including ordering and cycle counts.
• Provide excellent customer service, maintain a clean and organized store environment, and ensure tools and equipment are available.
