Job summary

val's services is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support store operations by assisting with supervision of employees, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role prepares individuals for future Store Manager positions, focusing on developing leadership skills and operational knowledge.

You will participate in recruiting and training, ensure product availability through smart ordering, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Must understand operational documents and perform basic calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory control, and merchandising practices is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Problem solving and attention to detail are essential.
• Retail experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent recommended.
• Bi-lingual skills may be preferred depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, staffing, and training employees.
• Participate in store merchandising, stocking, and presentation according to company standards.
• Support inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and audits.
• Ensure proper ordering to meet stock levels and maintain product availability.
• Deliver excellent customer service and act as a role model for store policies and procedures.
• Help with store opening/closing, cash handling, and safeguarding company funds.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Review sales and operational data to identify business trends and opportunities.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.
