Job Summary

This position contributes to Sun Tan City’s success by leading a team to create and maintain an exceptional client experience. The Salon Director manages the overall operation of the salon, including supervising staff, making staffing decisions, ensuring client satisfaction, monitoring performance, handling maintenance issues, and ensuring cleanliness, safety, and security.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Developing and coaching employees to provide excellent client experiences.
• Addressing client concerns promptly.
• Leading by example with a calm demeanor during busy times.
• Prioritizing client satisfaction and holding team accountable.
• Driving performance metrics through action plans and company programs.
• Promoting the culture, values, and mission of Sun Tan City with integrity and honesty.
• Delegating responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the salon.
• Managing staffing levels for development and operational needs.
• Adhering to wage and hour laws for staff and minors.
• Using operational tools to achieve excellence, including labor, reports, cash, and inventory management.
• Analyzing financial reports to improve performance.
• Conducting performance assessments and setting goals.
• Managing ongoing sales efforts.
• Working a minimum of 40 hours per week, including varying shifts as needed.

Experience:

• College education preferred but not required.
• Management and/or sales experience required.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong client service and operational knowledge.
