Position: Retail Store Manager - Kearney 5210 2nd Ave., Kearney, NE 68847

Buff City Soap is on a mission to create handmade products that are free of harsh ingredients and full of nourishing plant-based goodies to make your skin happy. Buff City Soap Products are fresh, made in each soap makery daily with ingredients you can pronounce. We are currently accepting applications for a Store Manager. The Store Manager contributes to Buff City Soap’s success by leading a team to create and maintain the Buff City Experience for our clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and coach employees to provide amazing client experiences.
2. Follow up swiftly on client concerns and issues.
3. Consistently set a positive example and demonstrate a calm demeanor during periods of high volume.
4. Display a client comes first attitude by holding team members accountable for quality client service.
5. Drive company metrics by developing action plans and motivating the makery team.
6. Manage with integrity and honesty while promoting the culture, values, and mission of Buff City Soap.
7. Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth operations.
8. Manage and track stock of raw materials, finished products, and supplies.
9. Maintain outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising compliance with brand standards.
10. Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, sanitation, and organization of the makery.
11. Manage staffing levels to ensure employee development and operational requirements.
12. Adhere to applicable wage and hour laws for non-exempt team members and minors.
13. Utilize operational tools to achieve excellence, including labor guidelines, reports, cash management, and inventory management.
14. Regularly conduct performance assessments, providing feedback and setting challenging goals to improve sales performance.
15. Manage ongoing sales.

The Store Manager is required to work a 5-day workweek of 40 hours per week (minimum) and a varying number of mid and/or closing shifts each week as determined by supervisors based on business trends and staffing needs. Reliable transportation to go to the bank as needed is required.

Experience:

1. College education preferred, but not required.
2. Management and/or Sales experience required.
3. Basic Computer skills (ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook).
4. Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
5. Strong knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
6. Strong problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
7. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor.
8. Team building skills.
9. Ability to prioritize and delegate.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
2. Must not be sensitive to various scents and fragrances.
3. Dexterity of hands and fingers.
4. Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes up to 50lbs.
5. Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, twist and stoop, kneel or crouch.
6. Ability to perform makery cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
