Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia seeks a Store Manager in Hartwell, GA to lead a dynamic retail operation and a 25–40 member team. You’ll own store performance across people, finances, operations, and guest experience, while serving as the face of the store in the community and building a high‑engagement culture.

You will hire, train, and develop hourly staff and supervise Assistant Store Managers and Shift Supervisors to maintain strong bench talent and positive outcomes every day.

Job description

As a Store Manager, you’ll lead a dynamic retail operation and inspire a team of 25–40 team members to deliver strong sales results and an excellent guest experience. You’ll own your store’s performance including team, financial, operations, and the overall guest experience. You’ll serve as the face of the store in the community while building a positive, high‑engagement culture. This role includes hiring, training, and developing hourly team members and leading a team of engaged Assistant Store Managers and Shift Supervisor to build a strong bench of talent. If you’re a hands‑on leader who enjoys developing people, delivering results, and making a visible impact, this role offers the opportunity to lead, grow, and make a difference every day.

You’ll also:

• Greet and assist donors/customers

What we’re looking for:

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience supervising teams of 25 - 40 employees
• A strong familiarity with developing budgets and creating plans to exceed financial expectations
• A focus on maintaining and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• Demonstrated capacity to embrace change. This cannot be overemphasized
• Demonstrated decision making abilities
• Experience with hiring and developing staff
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite

Preferences:

• An Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business or a related subject
• Prior military or related not-for-profit experience
