Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is seeking a Retail Store Manager to oversee the sales floor, lead a team, and drive achievement of sales goals at our Gilbert, AZ location. The role involves directing daily store operations, mentoring staff, ensuring excellent customer service to donors and customers, and maintaining store standards in line with Goodwill brand values.

The position requires at least 1 year of retail management and customer service experience, proficiency in Microsoft

Qualifications

• One-year work experience in Retail Management.
• One-year customer service experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Execute retail operations plan to hit daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly goals.
• Make day-to-day store operation decisions within your area.
• Conduct new goods inventory and reporting.
• Reconcile and balance daily paperwork.
• Ensure team delivers excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• De-escalate customer situations and resolve issues with escalation when needed.
• Maintain day-to-day store operations and meet team/customer needs.
• Maintain clean, well-kept stores reflecting the Goodwill brand.
• Transfers between stores as needed.
• Oversee daily sales floor operations and standards.
• Mentor and train Retail Sales Associates to company standards.
• Ensure store compliance with security, health, and safety policies and regulations.
• Drop off deposits or assist other stores as needed.
• Process complex sales transactions and returns.
• Collaborate with leadership to establish vision and engage the team.
• Manage performance, coaching, staffing and development.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to develop team skills.
• Drive culture change initiatives.
• Model Goodwill core values.
• Perform other related duties.
