Job summary

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead daily store operations, drive sales, control expenses, and ensure mission integration. This senior role focuses on achieving revenue and profit goals while training teams to meet merchandising, customer service, and production standards.

The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, proven retail leadership experience, and the flexibility to manage a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years retail sales experience.
• Minimum of one year management or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of POS, donation systems, and office equipment.
• Strong judgment, patience, and professionalism in high-volume environments.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• Basic understanding of business-related math and financial concepts.
• Experience supervising staff in production, merchandising, checkout, and customer service.
• Physical capability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in variable temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of retail store operations to ensure efficient, safe, and profitable performance.
• Achieve revenue, expense, and profit objectives in line with the store budget.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and develop staff to meet production goals and customer service expectations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and mission practices.
• Lead merchandising, production, checkout, and customer service functions to support a positive customer experience.
• Apply sound leadership and interpersonal skills to meet store performance standards.
• Monitor operational results and address opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
