Job summary

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to support the high-volume store operations. You will assist the Store Manager in achieving sales, expense, and profit objectives while ensuring compliance with standards and policies.

You will lead through staff training and operational oversight to maintain a safe, productive, and customer-focused environment. This role requires strong leadership, retail experience, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of retail sales experience required.
• One year of management or supervisory experience required.
• Ability to learn and operate POS systems, donation systems, office computers, and telephones.
• Ability to supervise and train staff in production, merchandising, checkout, and customer service functions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving store sales, expense, profit, customer transactions, and Ecommerce revenue goals.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
• Support customer and donor relations by ensuring staff provide excellent service and education about Goodwill programs.
• Assist with merchandise production and sales floor operations.
• Prepare accurate reports, complete required documentation, and conduct inspections.
• Assist with store operations during the Store Manager's absence.
