Job Title: Store Manager – Gift & Metaphysical Shop

Location: Northampton, MA

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $46,000 - $56,000 depending on experience

Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Store Manager to oversee daily operations, drive sales, and maintain an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate has strong leadership and people skills, is goal-oriented, and is eager to inspire both customers and team members. Knowledge of crystals and metaphysical practices is a plus but not required. Sales experience & ability to stay focused on sales goals while maintaining your other duties is a MUST. We are negotiable to monthly bonuses based on sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  2. Provide outstanding customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.
  3. Train, coach, and develop employees to enhance selling skills and product knowledge.
  4. Maintain store presentation and cleanliness to uphold brand standards.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the owner on stock replenishment.
  6. Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system (Square & Shopify).
  7. Plan and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and customer engagement.
  8. Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and resolve any customer service issues.
  9. Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  10. Assist Social Media Manager with social media engagement and promotions to drive store traffic.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous retail management or supervisory experience required.
  2. Strong sales and customer service skills with a proven track record of achieving sales goals.
  3. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
  5. Passion for handmade gifts and a genuine interest in providing a great in-store experience.
  6. Familiarity with crystals and metaphysical practices is a plus but not required.
  7. Proficiency with POS systems and basic inventory management.
  8. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
