JOB TITLE: Store Manager
Reports To: COO
SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for overseeing the functioning and efficient operation of all departments, processes, and services rendered by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Responsible for promoting a positive culture within the store.
- Directs and supervises employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or performing services for customers.
- Opens and closes store.
- Responds to security issues during and after business hours.
- Covers for other managers/buyers in their absence.
- Ensures all shifts have coverage/scheduling. Acts as public relations representative.
- Sets up or schedule community activities at the store.
- Interviews for positions when needed.
- Provides customer services regarding cashier, customer, and employee issues.
- Works with each department head and personnel to reach efficiency and smooth operation of each department.
- Facilitates movement of product from receiving to merchandising in a quick and efficient manner.
- Oversees transfer of merchandise between stores.
- Checks/enters and approves employees' time
- Deals with any problems or issues that may arise.
- Makes known any maintenance repairs needed to include seasonal maintenance requirements
- Facilitates efficient use of staff where and when needed.
- Works with buyers and staff to help inventory, stock, and merchandise products.
- Helps in departments as needed.
- Helps customers with their shopping needs.
- Operates forklift as needed.
- Helps facilitate quick service and exits for customers at registers.
- Enforces safety, health, and security rules.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- All other duties as required by management.
Accountability
Is responsible for customer satisfaction, store expenditures, and payroll costs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages subordinate supervisor who supervises all employees in their assigned store. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Responsible for the financial performance of their assigned store.

Education And/Or Experience
Associate or 4-year degree; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
