Job summary

Pawn South in Whiteville, NC is seeking a Store Management Trainee to learn day-to-day operations and develop leadership skills while working across merchandise categories such as jewelry, electronics, tools, and more.

You will deliver exceptional customer service, assist with coaching and developing team members, support recruiting, open/close the store, manage inventory and merchandising, and help drive store performance and profitability.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and help create a customer-focused environment.
• Learn and support all aspects of daily store operations.
• Assist with coaching, training, and developing team members.
• Support recruiting and talent development efforts.
• Open and close the store while following asset protection and cash handling procedures.
• Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and store presentation.
• Help drive store performance by supporting sales, loan, and profitability goals.
• Learn how to analyze business results and support operational decision-making.
• Monitor loan and buying transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Build product knowledge across a wide variety of merchandise categories.
• Complete management training and development assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
