Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, including staffing, inventory, merchandising, and cash controls. This role helps develop external candidates for the Store Manager position and is temporary in duration.

The ideal candidate will work closely with store leadership to ensure strong customer service, filing and reporting, and adherence to company policies while maintaining store standards and security protocols.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams and safety rules.
• Ability to perform basic calculations and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling, deposits and cashier accountability.
• Familiarity with IBM cash registers and reporting functions.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Knowledge of safety and cash control policies.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and hiring processes including legal compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Problem solving in varied situations with limited standardization.

Responsabilités

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and proper pricing signage.
• Assist in inventory management and physical stock control.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Adhere to company procedures and policies.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensure safe deposit of company funds and cash control.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and a safe environment.
• Operate store in manager's absence; review operating statements for trends.
• Complete paperwork and documentation on time.
