Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Manager in Training to assist the Store Manager with daily operations and administrative duties. You will learn each product area and help promote sales while delivering outstanding customer service.

In this role you may step in for the Store Manager in their absence, supervise staff, manage inventory, and drive profitability across departments, ensuring policy compliance and a strong customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, footwear/apparel preferred.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a team and meet goals.
• Self-starter with initiative.
• Attention to detail with multitasking.
• Team-player focused on customer service and selling.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling assets.
• Establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume store responsibility in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments when needed.
• Be aware of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure exceptional customer service per manuals and standards.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by the store.
• Uphold all store policies, procedures, and standards as listed in manuals.
