Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Morehead, KY is hiring a Manager in Training to assist the Store Manager with daily operations and administrative duties. The role involves stepping in for the Store Manager when needed and guiding staff to maintain store standards, control assets, and protect company resources. Prior retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and duties across the store.
• Collaborate on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Take on store leadership in the Store Manager's absence and guide staff as needed.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to help profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department standards and responsibilities are met.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain outstanding customer service according to policy manuals.
• Support store programs, promotions, and merchandise promotion.
