Job summary

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per laws and policy; staff the store.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and counsel when needed.
• Recommend pay rates and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; lead meetings on security and policies.
• Ensure store opens/closes properly and stays staffed.
• Review operating statements for trends, profitability and shrink.
• Manage ordering and inventory to meet in-stock targets weekly.
• Staging, stocking and storage of merchandise per company processes.
• Present merchandise per standards; manage pricing and signage.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cash controls.
• Uphold store security and cash handling integrity.
• Provide superior customer-service leadership.
• Keep store clean, safe and well organized; ensure proper equipment is available.
• Adhere to SOPs, handbooks and company communications.
• Complete all required paperwork on time.
