Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Familiarity with store operations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training and conduct performance evaluations; address gaps or counseling.
• Make recommendations on pay rate and advancement; enforce safety policies.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; lead meetings.
• Open and close the store reliably and maintain daily operations.
• Manage inventory: ordering, stock levels, and cycle counts; reduce shrink.
• Ensure accurate merchandising, pricing, and signage; uphold store presentation.
• Maintain cash control, key security, and financial integrity of the store.
• Deliver superior customer service and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment.
