Job summary

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to laws and Company policies; ensures store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for solutions or counseling.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinates meetings and events.
• Ensures the store is opened and closed on schedule; staffing coverage.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify sales trends and expense control opportunities.
• Manages ordering and inventory to meet in-stock targets; reviews weekly plans and cycle counts.
• Maintains proper merchandise presentation and pricing; uses fixtures and signage as directed.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels, controls damages and shrink, and ensures cash control procedures.
