Job summary

Kirkland’s in Houston is seeking a Senior Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in operations and merchandising, coaching the team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You will develop staff, implement promotions, monitor performance, and help prepare for a Store Manager role within 12 months. This role requires weekend/evening availability and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• College preferred or 1-3 years of experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to relocate for a Store Manager position preferred.
• Energetic, results oriented and competitive with a drive to succeed.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, including weekends, holidays and evenings.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to use POS systems.

• Supports staffing and recruitment within the market to maintain appropriate coverage.
• Drives profitable sales and protects company assets in alignment with policy.
• Travels occasionally to other store locations to support operations.
