Job summary

Safeway in the United States is seeking a store leader to oversee the retail grocery operation and manage staff. You will focus on cash control, inventory, security, customer service, and overall store performance.

You will forecast weekly sales, schedule labor within budgets, coordinate promotions, and ensure products are Displayed and stocked. Emphasis on safety, sanitation, and policy compliance is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ management experience in a multi-department retail operation.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Strong customer service and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of the retail grocery store, including staff management.
• Forecast sales goals and communicate results to staff.
• Schedule labor within wage budgets and control costs.
• Develop and direct execution of strategies to improve product placement and appearance.
• Monitor promotions, displays, and stock levels to ensure in-stock conditions.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and compliance with policies.
