Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Ashford, AL location. You will support store operations, help customers, and develop the store team to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities include merchandise handling, opening/closing duties, cash handling, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Prior retail management experience is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Assist in organizing merchandise and maintaining seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain clean and organized store floors and stockrooms.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
