Job summary

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and retain qualified employees according to federal/state laws and company policies.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and address gaps including termination when necessary.
• Set pay rate recommendations and opportunities for advancement.
• Communicate performance, safety, and conduct expectations; lead meetings promoting safety and policy adherence.
• Open/close the store as required; ensure staffing meets daily needs.
• Analyze sales, profitability, and turnover to identify trends and opportunities.
• Monitor stock targets, review ordering and inventory cycles weekly.
• Ensure accurate merchandising presentation, pricing and signage across the store.
• Maintain inventory levels by controlling damages and discrepancies; manage paperwork and facility controls.
• Uphold cash controls, cashier accountability and security practices.
• Deliver superior customer service leadership and a clean, safe store environment.
• Ensure equipment and tools are available and properly maintained.
