• Ability to read and interpret documents related to store operations.
• Strong numeric literacy for sales, inventory and budgets.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Experience with inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage store employees, ensuring proper staffing and scheduling.
• Recruit, train and develop team members; conduct performance reviews.
• Set pay rates and oversee advancement decisions.
• Communicate expectations on performance, safety and policies.
• Open and close the store per schedule; ensure security procedures.
• Monitor sales and inventory trends; control expenses and shrink.
• Oversee ordering, replenishment and stock levels; ensure in-stock targets.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and pricing align with standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory and cash control practices.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and safe working conditions.
